On the auspicious day of BR Ambedkar’s birth anniversary, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) unveiled their election manifesto, known as ‘Sankalp Patra,’ for the upcoming Lok Sabha Elections 2024. This momentous event, held at the BJP headquarters in the national capital, marked a significant step in outlining the party’s vision and commitments to the nation.

1. Modi Ki Guarantee: The manifesto, themed “Modi Ki Guarantee,” encompasses 14 pivotal promises centering around cultural nationalism. It underscores the BJP’s dedication to the holistic development, prosperity, and welfare of all segments of society, including women, youth, underprivileged, and farmers.
2. These pillars are designed to empower the nation’s youth, women, poor, and farmers, paving the way for comprehensive progress.
3. Uniform Civil Code (UCC): A long-standing promise, the BJP vows to implement a Uniform Civil Code across the nation, seeking to harmonize personal laws and promote social harmony and equality.
4. Ayushman Bharat for Seniors: The manifesto promises to extend the Ayushman Bharat scheme to all citizens aged 70 and above, providing them with free medical treatment up to ₹5 lakh. Additionally, transgenders will also be included in this healthcare initiative.
5. One Nation, One Election: The BJP commits to implementing ‘One Nation, One Election,’ advocating for simultaneous elections across the country to streamline the electoral process and enhance governance efficiency.
6. 2036 Olympic Bid: India’s ambition to host the Olympic Games in 2036 is highlighted in the manifesto, showcasing the nation’s aspiration to become a global sporting destination.
7. Bullet Train Expansion: The BJP plans to commence survey work for new bullet trains in North, East, and South India, enhancing connectivity and infrastructure across regions.
8. Free Ration and Electricity: Continuation of flagship schemes like PM Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana and PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana, ensuring free ration for the poor and free electricity to households in need.
9. Mudra Scheme Enhancement: The BJP pledges to raise the loan limit under the ‘Mudra’ scheme to ₹20 lakh, fostering entrepreneurship and financial empowerment.
10. Space Exploration and Education Reforms: Ambitious space missions like Gaganyaan and Bharatiya Antariksha Station (BAS) are promised, alongside implementing the National Education Policy and combating paper leaks through legislation.
